I am officially leaving September 18th and arriving September 21. Yea I know that looks really odd. I do have 31 hours of travel time which is odd. The only ticket I could get for the week that I want to leave is that way and I have 12 hour layover in Sydney. Thankfully one of my high school girls that graduated last year is currently living in Sydney so I am hoping to be able to spend those 12 hours with her :)
I can't believe how quickly this day is coming! I am excited and terrified all at the same time. Leave what I know and what I am comfortable with and going somewhere totally foreign and where I don't know anyone is really overwhelming at times. I just keep coming back to the verses the Lord has given me to confirm that this is where I am supposed to be.
Pray that they find somewhere for me to live in NZ.

The day is quickly approaching
Now that I am less than a month away from leaving I will begin posting a little more frequently. I still have not bought my plane ticket as we had a death in the family and I may be changing my exact departure date depending on when we are going to be able to do the memorial service.
I am getting very excited and sad all at the same time. I have been working on making a packing list and working on saying goodbye to people. A few weeks ago I said goodbye to my good friend Kathleen as she is in northern California and I will not see her again before I leave. I love you Kath and I love all our phone dates.
Some things you can pray for...
Preparation details (getting my plane ticket, finding somewhere to live...)
Finances (I still have no idea how I am going to live but I know the Lord will provide and has already started to in little ways.)
Spiritual preparation
Saying goodbye (I hate goodbyes)

Visa application
Today I applied for a working holiday visa. Please pray that the Lord will would be done and hopefully His will is for me to get accepted and have a visa. If not please pray that the Lord directs me on what to do. Thanks!

Sharing with Roots
This morning I was able to share with my church Roots what the Lord has been doing and that I am going to New Zealand! I thought I should probably share with everyone that is following this blog what I shared with them. While this is not ALL of the details this is the main part of what has been going on and how the Lord has lead me to New Zealand.
You definitely don't have to read the whole thing but it does walk you through all the things the Lord has done and His leading me to New Zealand.

I pray you are encouraged by what the Lord is doing!

Refuge
Last night I was privileged to lead worship at Refuge the high school group at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. I have been helping with these high school students for a few years and love every part of it.
Last night was a very specially night as Pastor Miguel was able to preach for the students. It was amazing to get to serve with him and see what is to come. We also announced to all the High School students that I will be going to New Zealand and they were able to lay hands on me and pray for the Lord to move in powerful ways! I was so blessed by each one of them and so excited for them to see what the Lord is doing!
It all feels so much more real now that more people know and it's really happening! WOW!!!

Meeting Miguel
Yesterday I met the Pastor from Calvary Chapel Whangarei in person. He is here for a Pastor's conference and Craig Coffin and I drove to LAX and picked him up and dropped him off in Murietta. We had a great time talking to him and learning about Whangarei.
I am very excited by all the things that he has planned for me to be able to do in NZ. Just another reason to rejoice in the Lord's faithfulness and direction.
